What Is the AI Cash Money Trend?
The money spread AI video trend explained: what happens in the clip, where it came from, what the Korean name means and how to make your own from one photo.
Last updated: 2026-11-01
The AI Cash Money trend is an AI video trend where people put themselves, friends or pets into the same cash-flex clip: a bedroom with a ceiling fan, a table of banded $100 bills, and a routine of hugging, tossing and fanning stacks of money at the camera. In Korea it's called AI 돈 세기 챌린지 (the AI money-counting challenge, #AI돈세기), and in English it also goes by money spread, money flex AI or cash flex AI. The AI version starts from one photo and puts that person or pet into the routine. The money is AI-generated; the whole thing is a joke flex.
What Happens in the Clip
Every version is the same vertical phone shot of a bedroom in the evening: a ceiling fan with a light overhead, a bed with two table lamps behind, warm light, and a table close to the lens with a short stack of banded $100 bills. The star stands behind the table, framed from the thighs up, and does six moves in this order:
- hugs a huge curved stack of banded cash against the chest and smiles at the camera;
- pushes a thick wad of bills right up to the lens, as if handing it to you;
- lifts a long strip of stacked bills over one shoulder and lets it unfold down the body like an accordion;
- reaches toward the camera and steps back, and now the table is covered with spread-out bills;
- picks up a bundle, flicks through it and tosses bills from hand to hand;
- fans out a big spread of $100 bills right in front of the lens and peeks over the top.
Almost every version keeps the same room, moves and camera, and the person, with their face, hair and outfit, is what changes. A few creators swap the room, like the bank-vault version below.
Where the AI Cash Money Trend Came From
Nobody knows who made the very first clip. The same take has been on Instagram since at least October 7, 2026, when @mohammedbumstead posted it as "Money spread", wearing a beige double-breasted blazer in the bedroom with the ceiling fan. On October 16, 2026, @sashalavrentiev posted a version set in a bank vault lined with cash.
Pets joined early. On October 25, 2026, a cat standing on its hind legs did the whole routine in a YouTube Short titled "Money flex AI trend: which pet in your house would flex the hardest?"
The name "AI Cash Money" arrived with the Korean wave. On October 30, 2026, Korean creators posted YouTube Shorts titled "AI Cash Money 💸" and "요즘 유행하는 AI 돈 세기 챌린지💸", which means "the AI money-counting challenge everyone's doing lately," all tagged #AI돈세기. It's still a new and small trend, mostly on Korean YouTube Shorts.
Why People Love It
- It's an obvious joke. A pile of $100 bills, a deadpan bedroom and a full money spread at the end: it's a flex nobody takes seriously.
- You, a friend who agreed, or your pet can star. The routine stays the same whoever is in it, so it works for any adult who said yes, or a cat or dog.
- The outfit is the twist. Korean versions went big on looks: a rainbow fluffy bear jacket, a green cosplay wig, a black leather jacket, even a burgundy hanbok (Korean traditional dress) with Korean 50,000-won notes instead of dollars.
What does "money spread" mean here?
In this trend, the money spread is the final move: a wide fan of $100 bills held up right in front of the lens, with the star peeking over the top. It's the shot most versions end on, which is why Instagram posts of the take were captioned "Money spread."
How the AI Version Works
The AI Cash Money video is filmed from a written routine, not cut from anyone's clip.
From the trend:
- the bedroom with the ceiling fan and the table of banded US $100 bills
- the six moves, from the big hug to the final money spread, timed to the length you pick
- the vertical 9:16 phone camera
From your photo:
- the face, the hair or fur, and the outfit
- for a pet: it stands up on its hind legs and handles the cash with its paws
The model is Seedance 2.0 Mini by ByteDance. It follows the routine, but every render comes out a little different, and it sometimes keeps parts of your photo's own background. The sound is an AI-made instrumental hip-hop beat with no vocals or lyrics, generated with the video. It's not the sound from the trend's posts, so add any sound you like when you post. The money in our videos is always US $100 bills.

Is the money in AI Cash Money videos real?
No. Every bill in the video is AI-generated. The trend is a joke flex, so please don't present the clip as real cash or as proof of income.
Is this the official AI Cash Money app?
No. AI Cash Money is an independent website, not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by ByteDance, any AI app, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, or any creator whose clip is shown.
What does AI 돈 세기 챌린지 mean?
It's the Korean name of the trend and means "AI money-counting challenge." Korean posts use the hashtag #AI돈세기, and some call it AI 캐시 머니, Korean for "AI Cash Money."
Can my dog or cat do the AI money flex?
Yes. Upload one clear photo of your pet with its face visible, and it stands on its hind legs and handles the cash with its paws, like the cat version of the trend.
Do I need a photo of cash or a bedroom?
No. You only upload one photo of the person or pet. The room, the table and the stacks of $100 bills come from the routine.
